PDP insists on APC, Boko Haram link

Abuja - The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) alleged the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) was unsettled and apprehensive following reported demands by some British Parliamentarians for an inquiry into their links with the insurgency and violence ravaging Nigeria.

The party in a statement by it National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said the timing of statement APC has released in support of such an inquiry was pre-emptive and suspicious.

“We ask, is the APC in a desperate move to pre-empt the British Parliament for fear of indictment or are they seeking to promote an orchestrated inquest to exonerate themselves,” PDP stated.
The ruling party urged Nigerians to be wary of terror.

“We urge Nigerians to see beyond the surface, to continue to be alert and note the actions of the urge Nigerians to see beyond the surface, to continue to be alert (APC) and their efforts to frustrate genuine fight against insurgency and terrorism in our country.”

The ruling party has in the past alleged links between the opposition and Boko Haram.
APC has repeatedly snubbed the accusations.

"These accusations and insinuations have become so virulent and have indeed reached a level where one begins to wonder whether those behind the finger-pointing are actually trying to divert attention from their own culpability and whether they have even more sinister motives for their finger-pointing,". APC National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai, stated.
