Man U Wanted Ancelotti As Coach: Perez Sir Alex Would Have Loved To See The Italian At Old Trafford Ancelotti 'rejected' United For Madrid

La Decima winning Real Madrid Coach would have been the one to replace Sir Alex Ferguson, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has come out to say.
Scotsman Alex Ferguson who was coach at Man Utd for 26 years wanted the Italian to succeed him at Old Trafford but the former AC Milan and Chelsea coach rejected the offer.
This revelation by Perez challenges Ferguson's claim of solely hand picking fellow Scotman David Moyes to replace him at the Greater Manchester club. Perez further revealed that the approach was made while Ancelotti was leaving his coaching posiiton at French club PSG but was not accorded the right response he expected from the current Real Madrid coach who preferred the Santiago Bernabeu to the Theatre of Dreams.
Speaking to Spanish radio COPE, the 67 year-old 4 time president of Real Madrid who was instrumental in the signing of big names such as Luis Figo, C. Ronaldo, Ronaldo de Lima, David Beckham, Claude Makelele, Gareth Bale and a host of others to the club said: “I’m absolutely sure [they did].
“Not this year, but last year. Ferguson asked him to succeed him,” Perez said.
Ancelotti has already proved his worth with the Copa Del Rey and La Liga trophies in his first season at the Bernabeu.
